Ed Brubaker’s initial run on Daredevil was absolutely awesome. I bought every issue and each time the wait for the next seemed like a year had passed, simply because my anticipation was so high. With some fantastic storytelling and great art to match, I passed my copy of the first issue around, like the drunk girl at the prom, and managed to get folks who never cared about Daredevil absolutely hooked with the first issue of that run. Considering how opinionated us comic book fans can be, I knew something special was brewing… or baking… or Brubaking.

Anyhow, Marvel must really know what they have on their hands and how it works as a great gateway drug to Daredevil, because now you can get the goods for free online. Yeah, that’s even cheaper than good ‘ole days of 75 cent comics. Free issues, a whole saga of comics, available to read in digital format, a sneak peek at the next story arch with a new villain, and no price to pay?
